Unfortunately the trend in JDM cars is bug eyed head and tail lights that extend past the body like that. I cant stand it either but Toyota loves doing this. Honda put new tails on the Accord coupe like this too and now it just looks goofy from a rear 3/4 view when it used to look classy!
