I installed gen 3 plug in HID kit H11 - 6000k advertised on ebay for my car in my FRS. I didn't need to bend anything? Instantly noticed way more illumination being put down on the road. The projection field was slightly wider than stock and the vertical line was perfect. It visibly cuts off just below the oncoming car windows.
I hate cars that have the blinding head lights so I had my friend do a drive by several times in his corvette to check for over glare. He said the glare was not anything he would note as "blinding him" and the diamond white color looks great. I'm very happy with the Kit so far. No temp issues and no flicker and charges up to full illumination in 3 seconds.
I will admit the kit was cheap and I don't know how long the bulbs will last, but at 12$ for a replacement bulb it is not an expense i am worried about. I keep the stock bulbs in my trunk box as a back up if needed.
