There's gotta be some way. Every optical disc drive I've come across has a manual eject for cases like this, even if it's not well documented. Do you get power to it? Can you hold the eject down for 10 seconds to get it to spit out? Worth a shot, a bunch of stuff online said it worked.
If not, it's probably not the worst electronic surgery in the world to crack it open, since it's probably out of warranty anyway. I had to do this twice on my PS2 to adjust the voltage on the laser.
