I drove 86 and BRZ back to back a few times and must have nearly driven dealers mad - had both on order, eventually decided on BRZ as I prefer the more 'taught' feeling of steering, but difference is minimal below limits....

Ride height same, gearboxes etc same - grill & interiors slightly different and spring rates slightly different, but cars are "twins".

I suppose I chose Scubi as I already have a Toyota (Prado) and BRZ will be more unusual and Subaru dealers should have better understanding of what is basically a Subaru platform and engine...
