Yes, financially i can do that, but like i said i dont want a car just for it to sit and look pretty.
I was going to say, unless you need to free up some money, then keep the NSX, but given this post, it makes some sense for you to be considering the switch. While the FR-S/BRZ isn't exactly the most practical car, it definitely is a lot more versatile than the NSX is and will cost a lot less to operate. But it's still not really a family car, and unless you and your wife are both 5' or less, then you will likely need to get a bigger car when your little one is older. Someone else mentioned a WRX, but I'd disagree with that, unless you just really wanted a Subaru, since it seems like your priorities for a replacement car is something that is very engaging to drive. If you were willing to get an AWD car, then at least get an Evo or something.

When I was in college (which now that I think about it was more than a decade ago), one guy in my fraternity had an NSX and somehow was the one who paid for it (as before I really knew him, I assumed he was just a trust fund baby who didn't have to work), and he used to always talk about how much of a pain the maintenance was and how it went through rear tires pretty quickly. So I have an idea of what you have to deal with, which is pretty significant since the maintenance is still expensive while a lot more cars today are easier to maintain while being fairly close in performance.
