I can totally understand where the op is coming from. I've said it many times: so many cars, so little time. I don't regret the day I sold my 911 and bought a Miata. I especially don't regret the day I sold the Miata and bought my FR-S; brand new with a full warranty, exciting to drive and perhaps the wisest car purchase I have ever made.
OP, you won't regret it. The FR-S is truly a marvel to drive and the best bang for the buck there is.
