Personally I have no problem annoying everyone around me. I really don't care what anyone else thinks, I'm going to drive safely, at whatever speed the equipment and conditions permit. And if you're so upset by how someone else pays in the supermarket maybe you should find a relaxing hobby.

Are winter tires better in winter conditions? Sure. Are they absolutely necessary? Not for most. 20 degrees this morning and 2" of snow. I had no problem going the speed limit. It's a road, not a racetrack.
