Accele's site does not list the voltage range for the RVC1150. You should definitely contact them and see if it will work down to 5 or 6 volts, as some of their other models do.
Barring that, there is an unused connector near the HU that has +12V Accessory and ground (as well as +12V Battery). You can connect straight to that, or add a relay controlled by the HU's 6V lead so the camera is only powered when needed.
