I've seen higher than 93 octane gases actually remove the crickets which is why this isn't reported in Europe/Asia/Australia as much. Some people believe the ethanol content in US gas is the cause for it, but Subaru/Toyota say it has to deal with the heat expansion inside the HFFP that wasn't intended which causes a harmonic sound or "cricket" noise.
Guess we'll see! You'll see a thousand posts about this and new posts saying, "What's this noise coming from my engine????" without reading the thousand threads already about crickets.

Crazy how the gas plays a role. though something like expansion and contraction sounds like an easy fix. either way let's hope they think of something quick, i feel bad for those that have it worse and have already spent time replacing parts only to come back
