Exactly, you've got some time. Wait on it a bit till something comes along. You do have time, but I'm with you on the crickets. They are annoying, and a new car shouldn't have them. If time starts winding down on my warranty for the powertrain, I'll grab a new pump and pray, but I'm hoping something does come along with the number of drivers who actually have the crickets.

I've seen higher than 93 octane gases actually remove the crickets which is why this isn't reported in Europe/Asia/Australia as much. Some people believe the ethanol content in US gas is the cause for it, but Subaru/Toyota say it has to deal with the heat expansion inside the HFFP that wasn't intended which causes a harmonic sound or "cricket" noise.

Guess we'll see! You'll see a thousand posts about this and new posts saying, "What's this noise coming from my engine????" without reading the thousand threads already about crickets.
