Perrin is the one that pops up all the time, so I'm guessing its the leading pulley on the market. However, I've been reading on concerns of the probability of throwing of the balance and what not... You've had it for a while... What's your impression? Any possible harm (assuming its installed properly, of course)

There's alot out there to read on the subject for sure. My understanding is that the light weight crank pulley reduces the rotating mass of the engine making it feel a bit more peppy. It does not add horsepower. The heavier OEM pulley does have a rubber insert which presumably dampens vibrations. Both pulleys have nothing to do with "balancing" the crankshaft. I subscribe to the belief that the lightweight pulley has no ill effects on the engine. I did the Perrin pulley and Airaid intake at the same time and liked the result. I was running the stock exhaust at the time. It is an easy mod to do and I have no regrets.
...regarding the stoplight thing - BRZ (FR-S) is not my vehicle of choice for that type of activity! But, I totally understand where you are coming from!!!!
