Do companies really use break in oil? Last I knew that was a myth. Freshly built motors show similar UOA results because of the assembly lube, not a special oil.

I've beaten the shit out of new cars and slowly increased the level of beating for the first several hundred (800-1000) miles. I never noticed one do anything more than the other.. if anything the one I beat the shit out of burnt less oil (common for vtec hondas) on track.
Yea on all my dirt bike motors, I ran the hell out of them from day 1 no problems. Ran my cobalt reasonably hard, no problems.
