Iv'e said it before and I will say it again now. If you have the means to buy a nice fun car when you are younger it is not the financial death blow that most seem to make it out to be.
When I was younger I had very little financial and social obligations I spent lots of money on cars, buying them and building them. I met some fantastic people who have become like family to me.
Now in my elder years I am not in debt and playing with cars is much more difficult to justify. When you have a wife or even a family it is hard to say I need to spend 3,000 on rims.
If you are in a place where you have little debt, financial obligation or social obligations I say go ahead and have fun while you are young.
