OK, then don't get a truck. Not everyone in Texas needs a truck. Or a Mustang, for that matter. Just remember, the FR-S isn't a straight-line car. It's designed to be fun driving through twisty roads, so if you don't have any where you are, or don't have any racetracks nearby, you may find yourself disappointed. But, you'd be getting at least twice the gas mileage of the truck, so that's gotta count for something!
