I need some advice please:

I am looking at 100w H11 bulbs that were recommended to me at a shop. When installed and aimed properly, they look great! however a friend has mentioned that 100w bulb may not work with the car and may fry the wiring.

I'm not technical and so thought to ask on here.

If the car is setup with 55w as standard, would it not mean that the cars electricals would only allow the bulb to draw 55w as well?

Or would it mean that it would draw 100w and most likely burn out a fuse?
