Ok.. based on the combined japanese cycles, when compared to our EPA combined numbers you get a conversion factor of about 1.85 when averaged among the 3 cars they draw comparison from.

The FT86 fuel economy will probably be very close to the miata, 13x1.85 is 24.15... if I had to guess I think the official numbers will be in the 22-29 neighborhood. With a 24/25 combined number. Which puts it squarely in line with the 4cyl Genesis Coupe as far as fuel economy numbers go.
