I always find it odd when people compare a new car to a used higher performance one. Price for the used will almost always blow it out unless you are talking a used exotic versus a new mid range car.
As for the performance, the GT86 did almost where I thought it would given the reviewer. Good to hear they think it's an awesome platform that needs more polishing but I think that's what aftermarket is for. Otherwise, they would have released this car for $32k and be that much better (better tires, better hp delivery, etc. etc.).
I am waiting to see what STi for the BRZ will do as well as TRD.

why do people continually do this? You CANNOT compare prices of cars from today against cars from 10-20, even 30 yrs ago. Everything changes. I mean geez man, those old Commodore 64 computers were such rip offs. Look how cheap computers are these days...
