You would have to ask Subaru that... Why wouldn't they? Since the motor was designed and built by the Toyota/Yamaha side and it uses the D-4S injection. Hopefully they do end up using a Subie ECU. It will be essentially unlocked already since there is already alot of tunig support for Subie ECUs. While, on the other hand, there is basically zero tuning for the Toyota D-4S
