I think you should be ok. I have personally seen cars (not BRZ's) with 300hp or more using 2.5 inch piping.
Our cars come with larger than 2 inch piping. So its not a stretch.
Ideal? probably not. I would say 2.5 inch or so for your power goals would be a bit more appropriate.
