Am I the only one who is not really interested in the "R" version? Even if it comes to the US, it will be a Scion... and if there is one thing I've learned after having 2 Scions in the family, it is that the stuff from the dealer are WAY OVERPRICED!
Even if the FR-S "R" version has the roll-cage (which I highly doubt, but who knows), they will charge you more for the breaks, etc. than if you buy them (or even better parts) elsewhere and either DIY or go to a shop and get it done on your normal FR-S. Even if you don't want to go aftermarket and prefer to buy the official toyota parts, it will still be cheaper (and more fun) to do the latter. Also it will be customizable to your liking, not a preset package.
And don't forget that the "race ready" version comes with the "race ready" insurance price (no more 2+2, etc.)... That kind of takes away the point of making it affordable. To each their own, but I will most likely be going with the regular version and add things I want later.
