i changed oil and installed the bush inserts at the same time. does that make the diff feel more rough while standing start and turning at the same time? once the car rolls over at speed (2nd gear +) i don't really feel any harshness.

Yes. Those gaps in the bushings are specifily to reduce noise and vibration. By filling those gaps, and using a material with a higher durometer you are making it easier for vibrations from the diff to transfer to the body. As you add more and more hardened/poly bushings, you'll get more Noise, Vibration, Harshness (NVH) in the cabin.
