Also everyone expects something different form the car, and everyone will find things they do not like. I am running wider, sticker tires. To me the amount of body roll is unacceptable, that's the beauty of these cars the aftermarket is there to cover down.

We have a saying in the medical world; " If a placebo works, it's not a placebo". So If I slap on coilovers and tun better times at an autocross event just because I am more confident in the car than so be it.

Just to clarify your edit comes off as slightly pompous, I won't dispute your knowledge on the subject because I don't know you. Hell for all I know you're an engineer with Toyota , that still doesn't make you omnipotent so keep it civil in the local thread ( and if that wasn't you're intent, my apologies)
tldr; I'm sorry if I came off as pompous, it wasn't my intention. I just want everyone to have a reason for the changes they make to their car.

I wasn't trying to be hostile, there is a meme of doing things "because racecar," and if thats why someone wants to make a change to their car I'm fine with that. But I'm trying to save johatan25 and anyone else playing along at home from potentially making a mistake on these cars with a modification thats a sure thing on other cars. Most vehicles have compromises made in the suspension for comfort, but the big selling point of these cars is the amount of engineering effort they've put into the suspension.

Your situation is different, you had a problem with the suspension(it's not quite stiff enough for the stickier tiers) and so made a change to try and fix that problem. Saying "I couldn't beat that Mini at autocross, put new coilovers on the car, now I can run faster than him" is as close to empirical evidence of more grip as we can get. It's not 100% because of the amount of variability between each autocross run, let alone from event to event.Motor tuning, on the other hand, allows us to replicate the conditions of each test almost exactly. We can quite literally run an identical test at the push of a button. This lets tuners demonstrate how the changes they've made to the vehicle change the performance of the vehicle.
