That is the main goal with motorcycle manufactures; develop a motorcycle capable of winning championships. Last season is yesterday's technology.

Back on topic, we know that this car that was racing is a trunk and C&D article mentioned it was a notchback. Maybe they'll offer a hatch in the future. That would be cool

No way!!!

Yeah they offered both but the more popular version was the fastback! Even the GTV was a fastback. Regardless of the added weight and less rigid frame, fastbacks/hatches just look better!
