Acceleration is directly related to mass (weight). Assuming you can still get traction, etc. then reducing the weight by 10%-15% (250-375lbs) should give you a noticable increase in acceleration (it probably approaches an asymptote in real life because of other factors). My guess is that a 10-15% decrease in weight would provide a 8%-12% decrease in 0-60 times for the FT86 @ 200hp, 2600lbs...
