iv been a GT fan from GT1-GT3, after getting GT4 i felt like they hit a brick wall. and with their attempts at another GT game (GTHD/GT4Prologue/GTPSP /GT5Prologue/GT5) it just added to my theory that they are stuck in limbo recreating a game over and over again that doesn't catch our attention anymore.
I liked Forza 3 & 4 and they are probably the best racing games out at this moment, but it still hasn't impressed me as a car game should.
I personally do not have faith in any company that makes a racing simulator whoes director is not a long standing enthusiast and a person who is involved in the culture of tuning.
I believe that director of PD Kazunori Yamauchi still has yet to understand what car culture is today..vs 15 years ago. Until then all the material will be a revamp of old, and new material will be very small.
I believe that Dan Greenawalt is an outstanding director of Forza (even if iv only met him a once) and knows that his games are going in the right direction. But I think hes still missing something soulful that captures the hearts of real drivers, and to impliment that into his games would require him to get down and dirty like a real average enthusiast.
