There are several options for guys using parts we haven’t built maps for… but before getting to those, we’ll be building maps for a while since parts are still coming out for it. With all of our kits, our goal is mapping all popular bolt-ons; and as new parts are released we’ll install and map them on our cars.

Remember, as discussed earlier in one of the threads, not all parts affect the calibration which means they don’t need a new/different map. Those parts may change power, but they’re essentially invisible to the OE ECU so the fueling or timing solutions don't change... which means you don't need a new tune. If for whatever reason, you want a map we’re not currently offering…

… you can go to a tuner that has our software and have them build a calibration.

… if you’re a do-it-yourselfer, you can purchase the tuning software and build your own calibration.

… with a download cable, you can find the closest fit with the available maps… there’s generally a very close map… while it might not be “perfect,” you can typically find a 99% solution if the cost/benefit ratio for 100% is too steep.

The data logging idea is great, but the car already provides you with a “poor man’s” fueling data log you can monitor and read with a Scan Tool like the Flux2 Display. If you look at the Long Term Fuel Trims in the OBD2 data, you get a great idea of the “fit” of the map you’re currently using. It's amazing what data is out there if you know where to look and what to do with it when you get it.

Cheers
So would you recommend I wait to purchase until you have a map built for the Vigilant CAI if I'm not willing to purchase the tuning software and tune myself or go to a tuner with your software? Is there a currently available map that you'd see to be a close enough fit for my setup (CAI plus axleback muffler delete)?
