When I say legal issues, I mean is it illegal to remove some of the emission control systems like this when it comes to keeping certain things out of the emission. The majority of the emission control is done in the catalytic converter and this does not touch that, correct?

Yeah exactly, and also MI doesn't have nearly the regulations that like, CA or WA have. Actually, im pretty sure the only regulation is sound and its no where near that limit. In CA you have to take your car every year to get it inspected with sound and emissions and there is still a few people on the forum from CA who have this set up too.
For everything shipped it was $422. Thats with the rear gasket which needed replacing on my car. Berk has a similar set up for 300 but it has smaller tips (the Mach V has Cusco 4" and the berk has just stainless 3" i believe but both have 2.5" piping) and the welds arent as high of quality as the mach v. I did a fair amount of research and I didnt want to spend over like 800 for exhaust since i need to buy a new car for my wife, want a SC or turbo kit and i dont have the time to install a whole set up anyway haha. For me, it was either between the Mach V and the nameless performance axle back (that one was around 550) here is a video of that one [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OO7CPMrlzko"]2013 FRS/BRZ Nameless Performance Exhaust Comparison - YouTube[/ame] . To me that one had a more raspy, "WRX" sound, weighs a bit more and it is slightly more restrictive. After getting the Mach V, i love it, it was exactly what i was looking for and tomorrow ill see if it shows anything on the dyno. I guess you could argue the nameless would be an easier exhaust to live with since its probably a bit quieter but i like it and i drive at least 40 miles a day, also my wife who isn't much of a car or tuner fan likes it..always a plus. Anyway sorry for the paragraph haha
