water temp don't even go up unless you run your engine moderately hard...and then have it sit still at a light.
Currently in cold weather, i could be driving on the high way, and then park the car and the water temperature don't even reach 110deg.

I'm not talking about the dash gauge, I'm talking about the ECT sensor itself which is a thermocouple which reads fairly precisely. If you had a real water temp gauge in the car you could know exactly when to perform the sequence.
