Anyone that runs without a cat on the road deserves to be pulled over and heavily fined. It stinks when you follow a car without a cat, you can't mistake it and it's pumping out carbon monoxide for whoever has the misfortune to be following.
Just run a good quality high flow cat.
No excuses.
