Ok, so a few months ago I hit a deer while getting on 1604E from the Blanco onramp. New hood, bumper, passenger fender and a few other bits under the hood. Now the body shop is just about done with everything (delays getting parts) there is a small fitment issue with the bumper and the drivers headlight. Stopped by today and looked at it and while it is not a very big gap, there is a gap and only on the drivers side. They said they were having issues locating another to look at. I offered to take some pictures of another BRZ that at at my work (there are 4 others) and in the pictures you can see no gap. Only one I could find in the lot this afternoon was the DGM one.
Now they are asking me about trying to get another WRB BRZ by the shop for them to look at in person. I have not been able to get in touch with the guy who owns the WRB one at work, so I am going to ask here.
So, is anyone available to swing there WRB BRZ by
Jack's Paint Place in Converse in the next day or two? I would be very grateful, and I would be happy to buy you lunch or something.
Why I don't want to just let this go, is that the passenger side and center upper radiator supports have already been replaced as they were also bent, I fear that somehow the drivers side was also bent causing the headlight to be the part causing the gap. A simple fix if it is the case.
I also don't like the fact that they are quickly changing there tune from very helpful to needing me to prove with the exact color that there is an issue. And I really have not had a good deal of time looking the car over to see if there is any other things that are not right.
Would appreciate any help I can get.
