North American dealers know nothing about the car as well. All they heard is that a new "supra-like" vehicle will be added to the line up.
My friend works at a Toyota dealership in Canada, he told me that he didn't hear any real information about the vehicle, furthermore the went on to guesstimate the time of its appearance on the N.American market as 2-3 years AFTER it goes into production in Japan.
So clearly they haven't been told anything yet.
