I would've got the name license plate and any info I could to have them fix it.. If I came out to my car and seen the dent.. I doubt I'd do anything.. There was a post about some guy chasing down someone because a rock came up and hit the windshield and cracked it.. To me that's over board.. And I've had to replace the windshield once and got a new crack in my new windshield.. Scratches from the car wash.. Guy put the window cleaner bottle on the roof and scratched it when he took it off.. I guess I can see the frustrations.. But I've always been one that shit happens.. Like I said I was pissed when the guy backed into my car.. But took about 2-3 mins of me walking away to cool down.. Then got even more pissed when he tried to blame it on me for "hot rodding" my new car around.. That took me awhile to get over lol

You see, for some owners here, their brand new car is like a Ferrari to them, or like a baby/girlfriend/ etc. While you might not care about your car, maybe you care about other things, so i would like you to think about the thing you love the most, and than think about your reaction if someone would put a dent/scratch/bruise/cut/etc into it.
We as humans, have this tendency to attach to material things sometimes more than it is necessary. In the same way we attach to people/pets/etc ,with a different level of attachment. So it is normal for some to be upset mate. They care about their investment.

^I second this.
IDK who would chase someone down because their window got chipped by a rock while driving, because that is clearly accidental. But if someone damages your car or any belonging for that matter because they just dgaf, it is just rude and inconsiderate. These are probably the same people who drive like inconsiderate A-holes, because they think they can do as they please and no one can touch them. They will probably continue to be this way if no one does anything about it. Yes it is just a car, but some people like to have their nice things stay nice. It's cool that some people drive beaters or don't care about their own car, but it ultimately comes down to respecting others around you. It probably doesn't help that i live in a city full of idiot A-holes, and i have a slight anger problem (probably due to the fact that i grew up here). More power to you for not caring if someone damages your material items. My new years resolution is to be less angry
