If not being able to produce a part that automatically fits on a massed produced (read standardized) car is the norm, then I guess I won't be ordering any of these parts either.
Bottom line is that massed produced, assembly line products have a predictable size/shape/measurements that any reputable company should be able to produce parts for. Subaru/Toyota don't individually match parts to the car, these are not hand-built.
As an aftermarket company they either have to figure out how to get the math right, or they have to stand behind their mistakes and replace them. They are not producing generic parts for multiple models here, where I would expect some fitment issues and some trimming, etc. They are producing one part for one model with one set of measurements.
I really like several of the Seibon hoods, but if these problems are typical, I won't be buying one. Too much money for too much risk in my opinion.
