For those fortunate to have a car on TRANS FUTURE 7, it doesn't have to drop any cars in Townsville so it's going straight to Port of Brisbane which appears to shave off a day or two in travel time and arrive on the 3rd January.

Basically my car will be one of the first to physically come off a ship in 2013 so it will be very interesting to see what happens with the compliance plate date.

I'm very excited!

For those curious about the details:
http://www.qships.transport.qld.gov....Movements.aspx

Search for your ship on there and you can see which ports in Brisbane they might be going to (you have to specify the time schedule, 7 days in the past or in advance only)

Have a safe and fun New Years Eve everyone!
I spoke with TMCA and whilst told 'don't quote me', that cars with a build date from 'mid December' would be complianced 2013. At that stage mine was scheduled for build on 21/12/12 - finally came off the line 26/12 and my Dealer has told me whilst it will show a build month of December it WILL be complianced 2013, so all will depend on what date yours came off the line as I am not aware of the actual 'cut-off' date

Australian Compliance plates are attached IN JAPAN and not when the car gets to Australia

Will be interesting to see what yours says because to me it's totally unfair that a car that would not be landed into Australia should have 2012 compliance, a year old before it's landed
