The only major professional racing I can think of that still uses open helmets in closed cars is rally, and with gearing those cars only go about 120MPH.

Very well said, you shouldn't skimp on safety parts. Guess I will do closed face again. If you are coming to the meet tonight, can you bring the helmet? I doubt I would be able to get it on my big head, but would be nice to look and feel it.
