A case in point:

A co worker BUMPED a lady at a redlight. The damage was limited to one broken clip on the co-worker's bumper cover and zero visual and structural damage to the lady's car. Once the cops arrived, the lady claimed it was a very hard hit which caused her to slam into the vehicle in front of her, which had significant damage. Strangly the driver in front of her must not have cared since they left seconds after the accident. Go figure. Also, the damage on the front of the lady's car appears to have been there for awhile (dirty, rust in areas, etc, stuff that is obvious that it wasn't done at the accident that day). Well the cop wrote it up anyways and now this lady is suing for all sorts of medical problems, even though none were reported to the Police. She is asking for upper 5 figures for damages and medical issues. She even claims to have all sorts of MRIs, CT scans, etc. Here's the kicker, she's *PREGNANT!* Go find a Doctor that will do CT scans on a lower back of a women who is pregnant.

The best part is that she's allowed to claim she has had all these tests but my co workers lawyer can't mention the pregnancy part and the obvious risks associated because he can't bring up her medical conditions.

So the insurance company already paid this loser money because it was cheaper to do so instead of going to court and my co worker is now having to goto court to fight this BS.
Sadly this happens quite often. There are people out there who make a living off BI claims.
