I have about a week on my Pirelli Sottozero Series II 225/40 18 inch on my scion frs.
First impression: more grip than stock tires but the car feels just a bit slower, less torqy. They also dont make any noise when tire starts slipping. I guess its because of the softer rubber. However, ride became just a bit smother and less bumpy.

They provide very good traction in both wet and dry conditions. I didn't get to experience snow yet, but I've heard that they are decent.
I used 18 inch wheels that weight pretty much the same as stock. They are 7.5 inches wide. Tire has a lip to protect wheel from being scratched, similarly to the stock ones.

I believe that it will make a perfect tire for a region that gets low temperatures, a lot of rain, and about a month combined of snow in a year. It is a winter performance tire, not a snow tire, after all. I live in PA and I'm hoping that it will serve me well.

Hope that this helps anyone in making their tire decision.
