yep, you changed or adapted your story, wich is an insurance fraud... the sad thing though, is that you were still covered if you told the truth, because your cause of loss is the same in your thrue story and your fake one (it's a loss of control)

except if they had discovered it, you would have a bit of trouble (nothing harsh, but still more question, verification)

learn your lesson, don't do stupid things on the road... and your real penalty will be your car damages... even if it looks brand new, in a few years, when rust will come out of those repairs, and when the paint wont shine the same in that area than the rest of the car, you will remember that you stupidly broke a new car....
