I'm sure leather is great...

but for me, there are too many downsides to leather than compared to cloth.

With leather, since many people wear jeans nowadays, it ends up tearing the thigh bolsters and seat area over time. My sister's G35 was great, and she's anal about taking care of the seat. Now its all wrinkled up on the passenger side, and i'm sure it'll tear if it isn't taken cared of soon.
On top of that, members have already mentioned that it will burn/freeze your butt depending on the weather.

Cloth is harder to clean if it gets dirty. I have a drink stain in one of my seats and it is tough to get out. But other than that, it is a rugged piece of equipment. I can sit on it without worry about destroying the material. I don't doubt in many years down the road, it'll show wear and tear as with any material.

Typically when it is a leather seat, it would come with electronic seat adjustments. Which i think most of us don't really care for.
