If you want the benefits of a intake get a tune for it. You should be fine with a intake on a stock tune just disconnect the negative terminal for about 15 mins minimum. And once you connect it back start your car and let it idle for 5 mins without touching the throttle. After that it will learn fuel trims as you drive. If its over the threshold for fuel trims you will get a cel. It's normally -10% To +10 before it throws a code.
Only gain you will get from a intake is a louder intake. No hp or trq. The power all intakes showed on a stock car were in the margin of error on a dyno meaning the gain was so little that they could not prove it was from the intake or from other differences like air temp or less humid air. Or waiting a little longer between dyno.

I don't know much about fuel injection all my hobbies have had carburetors and my thinking was to adjust the throttle cable to get rid of the lean condition that the injen causes in some cases. Mine was fine after I disconnected and reconnected the battery. It felt a little better to me and I trust all the dyno runs that it puts out a gain I think it would be a big risk for a false advertising lawsuit if it didn't. I do not know anything about how a dyno runs work besides they tell you torque and HP I have only had them done when selling a car and I dropped it off and came back to pick it up with the results.
