Buy the cheapest motherboard you can find if you want to go this way. Don't worry about good, just worry about getting by until you can get something better. No reason to spend more money than necessary on ancient hardware. Spending 100 dollars here is half the cost of an i5 2500k.
What about the Intel P43 and P45 and some g41 chipsets? i was reading that the newer boards didnt have any compatibility with LGA775 Pentium CPUs? why is this?
