This is totally what I did for months looking for cars.

Don't know much about the Porsche unfortunately, my brother was going to have a non turbo version of that but we eventually sold it as it was just going to be a pain to fix. Don't really know how nice they are when / if something breaks on it.

Funny story enough, was some dumb kid had a perfectly working turbo version but was complaining he would hear a slight whine from the engine when accelerating. I told my brother to let him know we'd fix it for him for free; free turbo .

Audi TT:
Looked at these too, not terrible I guess. Like the fact it's a hard top. Not sure how much better you'll fair on ebay for one of these. Mechanically I don't know how it'd stack up to your preferences though. I think they're built off the same chassis as the VW Rabbit but with some sportiness; I know a later year model shares the same one as the VW R32, maybe I misread...it's been over a year.

It's front wheel drive though. so eh. pass.

Definitely too much on the g35.

That Sc300 has nearly been to the moon.

And that Rx-7...mmmmm. Love those cars, but yeah. problems. Wonder how cheap you could get it, just not sure how complicated a car that might turn out to be even if you did get it at the right price though.
