Before then I didn't have an issue at all today (when it was above freezing) but I wonder if ice froze on my tires or something while I was at the restaurant because the drive home was pretty sketchy. Who knows, maybe black ice too but it was pretty bad.

Anybody else have similar experiences with the same or different tires?
I have the Xi3's as well. I found that on hard packed snow/glare ice the ass end wants to step out from a straight line under very light acceleration. The traction control catches it very nicely though.

I've been out in deep snow today, and all I can say is WOW. Trac on or completely off I was in control, no issues at all. I have no regrets on this purchase. My last car was a Genesis Coupe with Blizzak WS-70's, and by comparison it absolutely sucked in heavy snow - it would want to rotate making any kind of turn at all over 20km/h (not fun on the Cabot Trail in a snow storm). It is nice to have stability when you want it, and kick the ass end out when you want it.
