The silhouette or the norcal insertion/addition to the silhouette? The silhouette in the plaque on these tagged photos looks like a stylized version of the one on the glove box plaque from the 1st 86 gift box.
I only ask because I too, have 'created' a logo (for another car) which used the silhouette. I never considered the car part of the logo 'mine' but if anyone used it with the addition of the car group that I used it for, I did feel 'used'.
The car silhouette showed up in a Japanese car club show logo and I've seen other parts of the US use a similar design for their groups. Since the silhouette shape that I used belongs to the car designed by a company, I could never claim that design/logo as mine, even if I wanted.
Imitation is one of the highest form of flattery. Props to you for first doing it here in this community.
