I got the next level up product but have yet to get it onto the car. Sorry I cant be of more use review wise, till mid January .. I also considered the KW3 and decided these gotta be as good if not better in a bunch of way they are exclusive in, and in my analysis, superior, a little more of a production look than the boutique look of the kw3, but koni is prolly better regarded in porsche and bmw communities, so that weighed in heavily for me. Warranty is top, build and safety and such is as good as it gets. I have faith I will be pretty happy with these..
I will share what I can till then as far as I can as a pre install review:
They are stout lower strut front housings and they machine a burly RSM that no one else does. SO far, cornering the market in this regard. Pun intended.
Welding on housings looks way overbuilt, perfect for R compounds and a driver looking to explore the limits of grip, and my capabilities. I have room to grow, so the added cost of kw3 or ohlins was not justifiable. I traded off rear adjustability for a bunch of other things, and am sure it was right for my track toy build. If I ever really miss the rear adjustably, its not a huge pill to swallow, and I can bet I will never miss it.
However,I dont think ANYONE makes a camber plate as stout. Obscenely thick. Good. This thing is sick thick. If the goal is to prevent camber change from flex and loading, this setup oughtta do it if anything will. I like that alum's flat bar shape from a design perspective, that wont distort under load and uses wide anchor points, high spec hardware and yeah, it looks so fine too.
If these are important as part of what you want to do to augment the rigidty of the mount points, then you need not look further at other solutions as there are none other as inclusive at this pricepoint. IMHO.
Getting them serviced, revalved, etc, is non issue.
I went with it based on value and performance goals, as the spring setup I'm getting 375/430 keeps much of the cars factory bias moving CG rearward a hair, which is fine for control outta corners, and under hard braking, since there really isnt any understeer with sticky tires.
My usage of the car is recreational track. I like what the strutbar looks like, and that its a wide cnc'd pc of billet.
As a brand I track on my other car regularly, I know what to expect as far as longevity and results. Koni is a big firm, with oodles of R&D, and refinement of processes and parts.
GC's attention to detail in M3-land, something as simple as the machined insert their sway bar endlink kit shows what level of anality your getting for your money here, as a complete solution. Price wise the kw3+vorschlag solution + strut bar, well GC wins everytime. I dont doubt that the kw3 is good, but I dont have dual adjustable rears on my m3, and cant say I miss it the least, the rear dynamic weight transfer is matched spot on to the cars weight and valved nice, it is well matched to the on the fronts; when I went to grabbier front brakes, i went up a click in compression up front, so dual adjust fronts were mandatory for me, I usually match the front to the rears as a departure point, and that has worked well for me.
Good luck with your choice!
