I never said that "every hybrid is a Prius". I did say that I'm not a fan of the modern day hybrid systems implemented in production vehicles, and for good reasons -- it's a more complex system that will succumb to more breakdowns/problems (long-term maintenance costs will likely be higher), hybrids cost thousands of dollars more than their all petrol or all diesel counterparts (Why spend extra money on a hybrid when some conventional vehicles have nearly as good MPG ratings, and have substantially lower costs?), many hybrids have slower acceleration times and top speeds than their all petrol or all diesel counterparts, and they are not true zero-emission vehicles.
