I went from 1k to 7k miles with the chirp until the first TSB attempt. It would get a bit quieter with cooler weather, but mostly due to different load on electrical system and hence different rpms; and due to harder driving being required to properly warm up the system. It's was around freezing here just before my second pump install, but I'd get it to chirp every time after an enthusiastic drive. If I drove like a grandma (or in heavy traffic) I would not get the chirp with cool weather. |
Even after a full day of WOT-filled AutoX last month, no chirps. It used to chirp from enthusiastic drives that went over 4k RPM.
