DO NOT brush any painted surface. PERIOD. no matter how light you go, there will be marks. For the windows, pour hot water on it.
All joking aside, brush windows lightly.
I usually let the car warm up, with heat/defrost on max, and then brush a few mins after, once the car starts to warm up.
