To the OP,

Firstly, I would consider this harsh treatment by the dealership, and is completely unnecessary. For example, To test a fuel pump, one only needs to hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the to injector rail and simply compare with the specs listed in a shop manual, for at idle and usually a specified RPM (usually 2000-3000) that can be done in the shop. I understand that this has DI and PI but I'm sure they have testing methods that would incorporate this.

Secondly, I alone, only have the authority to drive the car that way or to authorize someone to drive it that way(friend or family). When you give your keys to a business for the purpose of diagnosing and repairing, I expect that my car will NOT be treated this way, Because I didn't give them my consent to drive aggressively to "diagnose" the problem.

Thirdly, to all the guys that say that this is nothing to be worried about, give me (a complete stranger) your keys for an hour or two if you say that's it only a car and an econobox at that and nothing to be worried about. I'm fairly certain you will change your tune! I for one would not throw a stranger my keys without first laying ground rules. Also, since when is a $651($28k, plus taxes plus interest/60 mo) payment a month cheap? I make $80k a year and this is NOT easy money when you consider mortgage payments and house bills as well as living expenses. Give me a fucking break!
