Yea, that makes sense. There will be a much lower delta (temp difference between ambient and air temp) when you get THAT high. 120 degree intake temps are very high in and of themselves. I didn't even see that high of a temp with the AIRAID idling for 5 minutes after fully warm.
You should do some temp logging now that I'm assuming AZ has more "regular" temperature ranges... being December and all.
